Default Ikari or G9?

Hi guys,
I was thinking about getting a new gaming mouse soon,
and I was trying to decide between the SteelSeries Ikari,
and the Logitech G9. Anybody have any suggestions?

Logitech is the better brand. The quality is top notch and the support from Logitech is tops and cannot be beat if you should need it.

Heck my older Logitech G15 had a few keys with the paint rubbed off within a week. I talked to Logitech and they overnighted me a NEW ONE.....and told me to keep the old one.

You cannot beat Logitech.

Logitech has better customer service but there is no way a G9 is better than Ikari. The Ikari is the best gaming mouse you can buy, without a doubt. There are plenty of Ikari users on this forum, including me who will praise the mouse.

The only thing about the G9, is that it's quite strictly a gaming mouse, it won't be as comfortable as the ikari for regular browsing/ computing....

With that said I'm pretty loyal to logitech and would get the G9 anyways, and that free scrolling wheel is too cool.

Whoa, my G9 is awesome at everyday use. Best ever in fact. Biggest feature is the ability to freewheel the scroll. Frikkin awesome, why didn't they think of this earlier? Can't go back to a non-freewheel ever now.

When I had to replace my MX510, I purchased Sidewinder X5, G5, MX1100 and had to RMA them all, then I gave it a last try and ordered G9, wow, this mouse answered my prayers in terms of features and form factor, a keeper.

One vote for the G9, it may not be pretty, but I find it comfortable, and I love its features. The 2 different grips are nice too, I prefer the hard, grippy surface, but the smooth rubbery one would be nice for those who do alot of browsing etc.

Add to that Logitech's customer service and IMO it's a clear choice.

I just got the ikari optical and i can say its the most comfortable mouse i've ever used. the g9 seems too short imo
but everyones has different preferences and you should try both of them out before deciding
