I don't know why this would be true. I use the laser in FPS perfectly fine.

I find it really depends on what kind of grip you use with your mouse. I tried both the G9 and Ikari, and I could not use the Ikari. I have more of a claw like grip and the G9 matches me much better.

If you have more of a palm grip, I'm sure the Ikari would be a great mouse, when I layed my entire hand down on it, it was very comfortable. Again though, it just didn't work for me.

I also thought it felt a little cheap for what it cost. The G9 feels like a quality piece, whereas I found the Ikari to be a bit lacking. I did really like the scroll wheel on the Ikari, the G9's has always bugged me a bit.

Yesterday, right before I was about to order the Ikari laser mouse... I saw a review of the G9X mouse. It looks awesome and I think I would want that as my new mouse. Does anyone by any chance know when the new LOGITECH G9X mouse will come out in stores (preferrably ncix). thanks.

G9...x?

Their new moniker for "EXTR3ME!!!!!!11!!!1" or something? I must look at this supposedly oh-so-spiffy mouse.

And here I am, just barely beginning to get used to my G5's x-axis on the scroll wheel. I keep pushing left when I just want to push down.
