Default Headsets

Hey guys I am really new here, and after living in Canada for a little over an year still having trouble finding stuff around here. Anyways I was wondering what you guys think a good pair of headsets would be? I was looking at the Sennshieser PC350, anything else that comes to mind? I would not want to pay more than $230 or so for these headsets. Thanks in advance for helping me out.

P.S. It would be also helpful to know where I could find these, I am in Toronto at the moment.

What is the intended use for the headsets?

Gaming, studio, music, Voip?

Do you want surround sound?

They will be used mostly for gaming and a little music now and again. Surround sound is not very important as I will have CMSS 3D so positional audio should be fine. Thanks

They look nice, but I have heard bad things about 5.1 headsets, that is why I was looking towards a stereo headset or headphone+mic combo. Thanks though :D

But then he could just pick up a good pair of stereo headphones then! And truthfully, I'm not a fan of surround sound sets myself, they seem to have lower quality audio then what a stereo set would push.

Also, This might help you, roughly a month ago my old pair hit the can. I decided to pick up the M-audio Q40's, and honestly, they push out some great sound, love every bit of them, also support from the company itself seems good enough. As a test I asked how I would go about getting another cord for my headphones (it's removable) and they sent me a new one, free of charge.

In my honest opinion, they sound great, and I've had no problems with them at all.

This was a great guide for me when I bought my first pair of headphones.

Headphone Buyer's Guide - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

I bought the AD700's and liked them so much that I upgraded to the AD900's. BTW, I'm going to sell my AD700's shortly, in case you're interested.

Hey thanks for pointing that out, that looks nice. I have no idea about headphone amps or mic amps and from what I have read, the PC 350 really shine on amps. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get amps for these.

P.S. Any idea how much you would be selling those for? I could buy an external mic and use that with the A700s than go with the PC350. Let me know thanks.
