Default Headphone advice/help.

I've heard about people getting Sennheiser HD 555 cheap, I wanted to know anyplace I can price match to NCIX.com. Alternatively if this isnt possible what alternative headphone would be good for gaming, music, movies, etc. Built in mic isnt a must as i have a desk mic.

Im willing to buy online, but instore is a plus if i dont need to waste money on shipping.

Thanks, appreciate it!

Grado SR-60. Sounds much more fun than Sennheisers. But grado distribution network rips off international clients, they only cost fair in the US.
I'd rather recommend the Alessandro MS-1. Alessandro High-End Products: Music Series Headphones
They are made by grados, but sold directly on the net so it costs the same anywhere. It's slightly better than the grado SR-80.

I have a pair of Grados, but I'm a baller, I had the SR-80s ... so do some of my friends... they have ALL fallen apart. If you ever remove the ear pieces, they will never stay on properly again! Eventually, they also fall off on their own. Really annoying, I had to super glue them back on.

On that note, I also need a new pair of headphones w/ mic -- price is not a factor, please help... while expensive, the PC350s look pretty solid, and have good reviews.

any luck with the headphones?

I just got a set of M-Audio Q40s, and I heard them back to back against the Senn 555's. They KILLED them for sound quality....

I've removed and replaced my earpads a few times, no problem there. I have a friend who has sennheisers of in the 400 series and he's gone through two pairs already, my grados are still no trouble.
