Default Overclocking Q9450 - Please Advise

Hello,

I am just wanting to get some advice for this overclock. I've met with some mediocre-decent results trying to overclock this Q9450. I managed to get it to 3.2ghz stable from 2.66ghz. When I try to push it to 3.4ghz system would not post. I adjusted voltage and system booted to windows but after 5 minutes in prime95 it would fail. Is there anything more I can do to this system to get it higher or should I just leave it at 3.2ghz and call it day? Here's a few pictures of the results and some info. Coretemp results are while running Prime95 torture test and they seem alright as far as I know.

System specs:

Motherboard: ASUS P5Q Deluxe
CPU: Intel Q9450
RAM: Mushkin XP PC2-8500 2X2GB
Heatsink: OCZ Vendetta 2

Let me know if you need any more info to help me out on this (from BIOS or elsewhere).

Thanks!

My suggestion would be to try dropping your FSB:Ram ratio to 1:1 to make sure your memory is not holding you back. Not likely with your Mushkins, but worth trying anyway.

Edit: just noticed your vCore is under 1.3. Kick it up a couple notches, see how you do.

You can raise the Vcore upto 1.45V; don't go over 60C Core temp under load. Also, adjust your ram ratio as mentionned by Sugar.

Yeah I vote for v-core too.

1.45 V on 9450 ? Be aware that intel spec are 1.3625V max. People are running it at higher volts but Intel tells us it could degrade it.
