So I can get this thing Orthos stable at 4.4ghz no problem.

I try running F@H and BOOM! BSOD.

Time for a new board.

Abit IP35 Pro will be up for sale possibly.

Yup! I want the Biostar so we'll have to see what my budget entails.

Basically whats happening is I get a BSOD and the error is MACHINE_EXCEPTION_CHECK.

Now they say this could either be a faulty cpu or a motherboard problem.

Of course I have no other motherboard to test.. so I'll probably run this guy back at stock to see what happens.

The other strange thing is F@H works fine until about 7% then it dies every time.

Hmm, I was just wondering, what were your temps for your E8400 when OCed to 4.2? My temps are 50ish on idle and 70 load when OCed to 4... And I'm on water cooling too.

Your temps are out to lunch. I had less than 42 idle with my true 120 and about 60ish on load.

Hmm... Would the temp problem be related to.. bad temp sensors on the chip? Because I have a triple rad with the Fuzion v-2, so I don't think theres a problem with my WC..
