My System Specs

Default e6400 @ 3.84Ghz evga 680i

This new p27 Bios has turned this board into an absolute overclocking BEAST. I went from a maximum 3.6GHz with p26 to 3.84GHz (Orhtos stable 1.5hrs)- The new BIOS seems to have broken the FSB wall of 450 that many have been finding. I think I could probably go a fair amount higher with some high volume fans - I'm running whimpy 11.2 cfm fans on my rad right now. I know the CPU is the luck of the draw, but my e4300 went from 3.3 to 3.5 with the new bios.

The funny thing is that recently, I've had someone accuse me of having a 'ghetto' system- They had a 700USD dual loop (two PA120.2 thermochills) watercooling system and a e6700, and their overclock was 3.6.

Those look like some mighty fine load temps to me. Is there a difference between using TAT for load & running prime95 or Orthos?

What's normal vcore for those? Is CPU-Z reporting fairly accurately?

No- CPU-Z can't read the voltages at all- mine are set to 1.6 right now. My stability is tested using Orthos for at least one hour + all my benchmarks- only because I don't have much time to test every setting for the usual time- I will clearly state this in the review- I imagine that I would be stable at 1.53 at 3.8Ghz- we'll see.

If you use TAT to load at 100%- it is insane- the load created by TAT is far beyond any benchmark or anything like Orthos- If I ever use TAT to stability test, it's at 75% or 80% load.

Grats on the huge increase. Sadly, upgrading to the P27 still left the 450FSB limit for me. I seem to be the last one with this problem!

I was reading it wrong.... I thought those temps were at load.

What are your load temps?
