Q6600 : CPU TYPE Benicia IPIBL-LB : MOTHERBOARD 3 Gigs of DDR2 6400 : RAM 2.4 Dual core quad : CPU CV190BPAG : CLOCKGEN Thermaltake V1 : HEATSINK Antek 900 : CASE 9800 eVGA GTX KO : GRAPHICS I was meaning to overclock the CPU. The bio's I'm using which is currently updated completely doesn't seem to have a setting that allows me to unlock the bio's into the advanced settings. I'm unable to adjust any voltages, or multipliers If you can recommend software or lend any advice that would be grand. |

First, welcome to the forums. Second, I'm sorry but your board is an Asus-built for HP. And the big name companies don't allow any oc'ing through the BIOS. You may try using software to oc your Quad. You can read this thread, which explains how to oc the same board as yours: Overclocking Compaq Computer - www.hardwarezone.com.sg.

Ah, I don't have the proper clock to use the program, guy has the same board as me and everything. Weird enough when I upped the FSB nothing happened, I used a similar clock to the one he suggested and upped it by like.. 40 mhz and it locked up on me. I need a way to change the voltage thats all. And my cpu stays at a cool 30c non-oced and even as low as 20c |
