Default Budget Athlon XP OC Build

It's time to get retro. I was digging through some of the old PC's I had and I came across something of interest that got my mind thinking "project time". I found an Athlon XP1600 (Palomino) AGKA 0149MPM and an AOpen AK77 Pro (A) VIA KT266A. I'm going to overclock this bad boy by increasing the FSB since the L1 bridge is laster cut and I don't feel like messing with it to unlock the multiplier. With that being said the multiplier is set to x10.5 with a current FSB of 133MHz (266Mhz DDR). By using PC2700 DDR333 which should give me plenty of headroom for increasing the FSB. A nice feature with this AOpen board is it allows you to increase the FSB by increments of 1MHz in the BIOS.
My budget for this build is $500 or less

So here is what I have and what I plan on getting any help will appreciated.

Have:
CPU: Athlon XP 1600+ 1.4GHz Palomino) AGKA 0149MPM
Motherboard: AOpen AK77 Pro (A) VIA KT266A ATX
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE 80GB 7200rpm 8MB IDE
Case: Generic Mid-Tower
LG 16X DVD-ROM
Monitor: Dell E&&1p 17" CRT
Keyboard/Mouse: Microsoft Desktop 5000 Wireless
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

Getting:
Memory: 512MB Kingston HyperX PC2700 DDR33 2-2-2-5-1 2.6V (2x256MB)
Cables: Assorted rounded cables.

Need:
PSU 350W +
Video Card Support 4X AGP
CPU Heatsink/Fan Socket A
NIC: 10/100 MB/s Ethernet

Heh... I had one of those boards myself..... :)

One thing I'd suggest you look at while you're OC'ing is to check out the .5 multiplier. I Know it did "bad things" to memory freqs on S939 boards, it'd be interesting to see if it affected Socket A boards as well.....

The multiplier on the processor I have is 10.5

Well the boards a no go, it's a dud. So I've been checking on eBay and came across an interesting find. The only prob is it doesn't support my processor but I remember rumors of an Athlon XP-M processor that's unlocked. The board is Soyo SY-KT600 Dragon Plus v2.0 for $24.00

Did you try swapping out the battery? That board's been around for quite some time.......

Bummer....

Socket A boards are getting harder and harder to come by.

I know mysterybytes has some new ones listed, but I doubt any of the new ones would OC worth crap......
