My System Specs

Default My 7 year old 2600K does 4.9 GHz on air

I made a few adjustments, added two Phanteks 140mm PWM fans & that Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (RR-212E-20PK-R2) Any of you guys still using your 2600K?

I'm still using a 2600K. What BIOS settings did you use to reach that OC?

Nothing new really about the 2600k. They were known to overclock very high with a good combo behind them

There has always been those chips but most people don't care to push overclocking as much anymore.

I have a P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Motherboard

I put this this as that & that thing as this and put 49 there and put 1.47 on that... I ran that and made sure it didn't get near 80

i think its normal to hit 4.8-4.9 with a 2600k

mine been doin 5.0 1.4v for a long time now
does 5.2 when it needs to

i see no need for even an 8700k

7700k/8700k? My 8700k hit 5ghz with ease, I'm sure I could hit 5.2-5.3 once I delid.

Still have one in my HTPC, Running along at 4.8ghz still. I tried down clocking it when I made it into a htpc but it didn't like that so I left it alone haha.

My 6700k is similar runs at 4.8 all day.
