Thanks for sharing. If you get around to it, I am curious to see how OCing will go with a couple cores and/or smt disabled. I am wondering if that 4.1 mark is pretty much all you can expect from the silicon, or if it's just with all the cores/features running.

I have a feeling that until the memory issues are sorted everyone's score will be ~4.1Ghz.

I just picked mine up yesterday and haven't hook it up yet need to clear space from the old workstation.
And I only bought the 1700 65 TDP for the power saving and I figured the old rules may apply with early chips there all pretty damn good bins so the 1700 is a great clocked chip just turned down. i hope lmao

I have not heard that before. Was that really a thing? If yes I will order one now just to have on hand.

I know there are issues with memory, as I now I am able to Oc my LPX 2400 memory to 2520MHz stable and at 4199.52 MHz running some cpu benches to see how stable it is. Temps are at 60C load.

it's not always it just happened years ago with the old Pentium's and Celeron's but simple facts are there all the same chips with features and die's turned off. I am just betting that the first batch of 1700 were not bad bins just need a lower power chip. just my opinion

Edit wow whats your temps like at the vcore

I can't achieve 3.9GHz stable at 1.40V with the stock cooler. Waiting on my radiator to start my loop.
