My System Specs

Welcome to the forum! This looks like a question for sswilson, the AMD guru- I would say, however, that you want to address the instability whether it comes from memory or cpu- especially if you're experienceing it while playing movies or things that aren't particulary stressful- you can make a mess of your stored data leaving it like that among other things. Perhaps before someone smarter than me tackles this question, you could provide a list of your components and settings including voltages.

There are a few programs out there that allow a software OC (or in your case UC... :) ), but how well they work really depends on support for your Mobo/Bios.

My suggestion would be pretty well the same as Babrbarossa. Your best bet would be to address the instability and opt for a lower OC that is stable no matter what application you are attempting.

Even when tried, tested, and proven stable , I've found that the max possible OC ends up being a bit flaky so I always back down a wee bit from my max stable for my 24/7 OC.

It's not something that can be benchmarked, or screen capped, but I find the slightly lower OC "feels" better and seems to run smoother.
