Default Team Cup 2015 - UPDATE 08/31: Team HWC now in the Top 10!

One of the great things about the Team Cup is that there are so many different competition categories that you're almost guaranteed to have the kind of hardware needed to participate. So here's a brief overview of all the different events in this year's Team Cup...

Please feel free to use this thread to discuss. Hardware Canucks has always been the little team that could in this competition. So hopefully we can cobble together enough scores again this year to Crack the Top 10!

UPDATE: We are in 10th place (out of 72 teams) with 427 pts as of Aug. 31.

Category 1: CPU Benchmarks
- Stage 1 = Lowest clockspeed on an Intel processor using CPU-Z ~ trodas @ 90 Mhz
- Stage 2 = Lowest clockspeed on an AMD processor using CPU-Z ~ Dead Things @ 100 Mhz
- Stage 3 = Multithreaded performance on an LGA775 processor using Cinebench R15 ~ Dead Things @ 488 CB (using a QX9770)
- Stage 4 = SuperPi 1M on a 486 (ostensibly, one that still works)
- Stage 5 = SuperPi 32M on a laptop with a HM86 or HM87 chipset (for 4th gen Intel Core, e.g., i7-4700MQ) ~ Dead Things @ 10m 6.638s (using the wife's laptop i7-4702MQ)
- Stage 6 = SuperPi 1M on an Intel Clarkdale processor (e.g., i5-655k)
- Stage 7 = PCMark7 on any single processor (multi-threaded processors have advantage here, accompanied by powerful GPU and fast SSD & ramcache software) ~ trodas @ 600 marks (using an i5 750)
- Stage 8 = Realbench V2 benchmark on any hardware ~ Dead Things @ 98,424 points (using an i7 3930k + GTX 970)
- Stage 9 = PiFast on an AMD K6 processor for Super Socket 7 ~ Dead Things @ 8m 18.210s (using a K6-2+ 550)
- Stage 10 = SuperPi 1M on a VIA processor ~ Dead Things @ 5m 39.958s (using a VIA C3 1.2)

Category 2: GPU Benchmarks
- Stage 1 = Lowest possible score in Aquamark3 (this one could take a while) ~ trodas @ 309 marks (using a GeForce FX 5200)
- Stage 2 = Best score in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme using a single GPU
- Stage 3 = 3DMark 99 with an Nvidia 6600 GT
- Stage 4 = 3DMark Vantage using an AMD Kabini APU (e.g., Athlon 5350 / HD 8400)
- Stage 5 = 3DMark01 with an ATI Rage Fury Pro or Rage Fury MAXX ~ Dead Things @ 2405 marks (using a MAXX with a PIII-1.4S)
- Stage 6 = Get exactly 250 marks in 3DMark Cloud Gate with any hardware
- Stage 7 = Catzilla 576P with LGA775 integrated graphics (e.g., on a G43 mobo)
- Stage 8 = 3DMark06 using an Nvidia 9800GX2
- Stage 9 = Aquamark V2.1 using an AMD K6 processor and any GPU ~ Dead Things @ 19.7 fps (using a K6-2+ 550)
- Stage 10 = Best 3DMark03 score using any AGP videocard ~ Dead Things @ 25,340 marks (using an HD 4670)

Category 3: Memory Benchmarks
- Stage 1 = Lowest possible memory clock while using a Sandy Bridge processor (as measured by CPU-Z)
- Stage 2 = Highest DDR2 memory frequency (in CPU-Z) ~ Dead Things @ 685.7 MHz
- Stage 3 = Highest DDR4 memory frequency while using CL10 timings (in CPU-Z)
- Stage 4 = SuperPi 32M while using an Intel G3240 and SO-DIMM memory
- Stage 5 = Super Pi 32M on an AMD Phenom II processor, limited to a max speed of 4 Ghz

Category 4: Miscellaneous Benchmarks
- Stage 1 = HWBOT Prime on a phone (just grab from Google Play) ~ Dead Things @ 3646 pps (using a OnePlus One)
- Stage 2 = Highest memory clock while using a motherboard with an Nvidia 650i chipset (in CPU-Z)
- Stage 3 = Slowest score in GPUPI for CPU 1B (requires support for OpenCL with double precision) ~ trodas @ 16d 8h 41m 41.760s (using an X6800)
- Stage 4 = Highest possible reference clock on any platform (aka BCLK for the young'uns) ~ Dead Things @ 610.1 MHz (using an ASUS P5Q-E)
- Stage 5 = HWBOT Prime on a Raspberry Pi (Yum!)

I'll keep track of submissions in this post to make it easier to see where the team could use your help. Happy benching!

Sorry trodas, I'm going to knock off your Category 2, Stage 10 3DMark 03 score today or tomorrow. Nothing personal, it's just my 4CoreDual-SATA2 board just happened to be on the top of my pile.

Interesting, I have a few things that could contribute to this. Will see how much time I have on the weekend.

Raspberry Pi
Q45 IGP

Awesome zoob! While the Raspberry Pi score would certainly be nice to have, the Q45 IGP would be a real coup; I don't think there's too many of those out there any more. I'm rootin' for ya!

Not sure wth is going on with Catzilla. It takes forever to load and runs a black screen for one scene with audio.

Q9400 / 4GB DDR3 / Q45 chipset / Windows 7 64bit

I downloaded the "newest" drivers for Q45 graphics...

EDIT: Ah. it's crashing. EAccessViolation in module catzilla.dll....

I could take any old hardware you got and do it in your honor, id love to play with some retro gear again.

Sorry Trodas lol.

Once im not being lazy and decide to clear my cmos (fast boot enabled, cant get into the bios without clearing it) I could probably up that score substantially, but it seems like it will do for now.

I tried some ramcaching software, but it appears to be useless unless I register it.

I get that! Was a time I could do all these myself. Now, I gotta pick my battles. But hey - think you could find time to squeeze in just one?
