Well I f'ed up and forgot to order some good thermal paste with my order too so I got some coming with my true, that should help, all the fans are on low as well, I'm sure I could push them to cool better if need be :)

Can't wait to get oc'ing this thing.

One question actually, is it worth oc'ing my video card? I have the EVGA Akimbo SC - it is factory oc'd to 720/2k - can you get much more out of these?

If you do another order I would pick up some AC MX-2 thermal paste.

Personally I think it's the best stuff on the market. Once your TRUE comes in you will be all set. My AC Freezer 7 Pro came with MX-2 installed on it.

FYI, NONE of Arctic Cooling's current CPU coolers come with MX-2 installed. This is right from the mouth of AC themselves.

Wow, that's an OLD chip, you got lucky

Q6600's made in 2008 are having trouble breaking 3.2Ghz with reasonable voltage.

SKY: According to AC's website it says it comes with Pre-applied MX-1 / MX-2 Paste and from what I have heard the newer ones come with MX-2 paste pre-applied.

So I was running some tests before I went and started oc'ing next week and I notice today that the cores seem to be running hotter. My room is fairly chilly, I literally have floor to ceiling window with about 4 feet of it open to outside and a fan in the room. For me, not the comp lol. It is about 15°c to 20°c in here all the time at this time of year, I rarely if ever close windows in my place (GF hates it tho! LOL)

Anyways

Is this cause for concern:
