Don't short-change yourself - that's a really good 1T Geekbench score! It will be interesting to see if anybody on the forum has a faster processor than you in single-threaded performance.

MacJunky...........I noticed you are in striking distance of few folks ahead of you on Geekbench......and you are running higher clock speed. Maybe with system or memory tweaks you could move up some.

My dual P II system is pretty much maxed without extreme cooling and volt mods....(and maybe faster cach chips).........

My RAM does not seem to like to go faster with extra voltage. And to confess I did not mess with the timings too much.
Could try killing more background processes and see if the score bumps up though.

Smile Oveclocking Tweaking and Benchmarking

Well I don't know what I can contribute. Never used those benches b4 let alone heard of a cpl. Only have 2011 chips.

I have a problem running 03, just too old and finicky like me I guess. lol

Good luck everyone and if I can get my system ocing a little better who knows?

MacJunky........my Ripjaws X rated 1600-8-8-8-24-2T @ 1.5 Volts doesn't seem to like lots of extra volts either. The best I recall getting it to do was 2152-10-10-8-25-1T @ 1.675 volts with my Ivy Xeon.

Ram sub-timings seem to be critical for some benches. There are some good discussions on the web with some of the pros contributing. Maybe one of our top dawgs will chime in on this.

Not sure what OS optimizations help with Geekbench3. Usually killing unneeded processes is a good start. The score I put up (so we'd have one and before you put up your very good one) was in Folding mode and not optimized at all. Again hopefully the pros will chime in.

At any rate good goin'

fishingfanatic........the only bench a 2011 chip can help with is Geekbench3 and unless your running smoking high clocks, I don't think you'll catch MacJunky.

Hopefully there will be something better for you in the next comp...EH?

Bumpin the thread with my new K7 result!
MacJunky`s CPU Frequency score: 2645.28 mhz with a Athlon XP 2800+

I am 100% certain I have no more K7 CPUs hanging around.
