Default Owners of Cool labs liquid pro/ultra, I have questions for you

Is it worth it over decent TIM? I have a delidded 3770k and I am not sure if I should be pursuing this stuff. I was hoping those that have used it would chime in. Thank you

Phill

If you're happy with the temp drops you got after delidding with regular TIM, leave it at that.
What OC are you running at and what temps are you getting now?

Delidding didn't get me a better OC as my chip still requires a ton of voltage to go past 45x100. I wanted the extra couple of C drop Liquid Pro provides so I can run my fans as slow as possible for less noise. So to me it's worth $20 to run my fan at 400 rpm instead of 600 rpm.

I am running 4.8 with 1.25v. Temps are ~70C. I used MX-2 originally and now I was thinking of rather using Liquid Ultra and then permanently gluing the IHS back the chip. From what I hear Cool Labs has a great product and it should improve my temps quite a bit... That is why I am trying to ask actually owners of the stuff to see if that is indeed the case.

I used Liquid Ultra on my 2500k... temps were down around 2-3 degrees from IC diamond. For the amount you get, id say its not worth it. 20$ for 3 applications... tops. I got 1, because half of mine leaked out the tip guard in shipping.

If you are never going to touch the heatsink, i guess its worth it. But if you remove the heatsink, to swap cases or w/e, dont bother using it.

I just want to use liquid ultra between the die and the bottom of the IHS. I should get many uses out of one syringe at that rate.
