My System Specs

Default Q9550@ 3.8Ghz

Did this a few months ago after I purchased this CPU and 8 gigs of ram from a wonderful forum member. This is my 24/7 clock now. Replaced my Q6600 G0 which refused to be stable over ~3.3Ghz .

So I thought I'd share. This is on air, no water. The original owner said he got it to 4Ghz with 1.4v. But I'm satisfied this will tide me over till I upgrade. Sure is fun owning Crysis. When I first got the game I was playing it with a Core 2 Duo E6300@ 2.8Ghz and a pair of X1950 Pro's.

Those chips are work horses! I had one, sold it not too long ago and just bought another for my server. Mine ran at 3.6 Ghz 24/7 for 2 years and them temps were incredibly low (45c usually on air). Not a single game I through at it would max it out. Only reason I upgraded was my board died.

Hi kishagi, I didn't even know Intel made a Q9400. The board is an Asus Rampage Formula. Sweetest board I've ever owned. Think I'll be going with another ROG board come upgrade time.

BTW, my system specs are on the link to the right. If you fill in your specs in your control panel yours will show up too.
