I searched for z68-sli. Is this the board you have on hand?

Weird, I do a search, and R16 is the latest. If R21 is indeed the latest, use that one.

yes thats the board..went into fourms looked in motherboard section... there is a new one out... but it looks as though it has alot of bad reviews... no memory overclocking... some even reverted back....

I'd stick to R16 then. And eventually upgrade if needed.

What is that dummy oc thing on your bios settings? Have you tried enabling it?

Just a quick reply before it's bedtime. I am struggling with something very similar. I am running a 2600K in a P8Z68-v Pro/Gen3 mobo that I have oc'd in the past but due to ignorance it was unstable so I ran it stock for a while. Now after educating myself (i think) and successfully oc'ing a 2nd 2600K in a P67 Sabertooth, I thought I'd take another crack at my first machine. So I've update to the latest bios and I've pretty much copied my settings from my P67 oc but this time my settings are just simply ignored. I double checked my bios settings from in Windows with AI Suite and it confirms the settings but cpu-z and AI Suite both show the cpu is only clocking at 3.4 ghz under load. If I change the oc settings with AI Suite, it just keeps ignoring them. It seems as though the mobo detects a "K" cpu and allows access to the settings to change them, but then it ignores them as if it's a non-K cpu. I'll get into more details tomorrow.

My i7 3770K on my Asus P8Z77-I deluxe has a locked multi of 47. I cant seem to rase it or lower it.
I have been playing a bit in Bios some of its locked but not all.

I think its Microsoft but Im not sure how to prove it.

So I have discovered that enabling hyperthreading in my bios prevents it from oc'ing my cpu. Also, when HT is enabled, win7 does not actually detect it anyways. So now I'm running 4.7GHZ at about 1.368 volts.
