My System Specs

Default I spent hours trying to beat 9 minutes and fell short

Machine is a I7-920do, gigabyte x58a-oc with mushkin redline 3x2g 1600.

Quite significant, as a matter of fact. The point of SPi 32M is that it is a large set of calculations that can't be stored in CPU/FPU alone. As such, it is also greatly affected by both the frequency and latency of your cache, system bus and DRAM.
