^^^ No, when running SLi the clocks are not "locked". You can still OC both the Core and the Memory ;)....you can do this one of 2 ways, within Precision X you can either OC both the Memory and Core indidually or in "synch" mode, the latter being OC'ing all 3 Cards to the same settings.
In my case, having one Card clocked 40 Mhz higher means if I OC my Cores in "synch mode", I'll push al 3 Cards up in a value by whatever I choose. The one Card will always be 40 Mhz faster than the other 2, a work around would be to OC each Card individually, bringing 2 Cards up to the same Core speed as the one that is clocked 40 Mhz higher.....but OC'ing individually is a pita and not the worth the effort.
To be perfectly honest, having 3 Cards already pushing 1200 Mhz with factory OC, there treally is no need to OC higher, other than for Bench runs.

From what I have seen so far, the Cards are still being held back slightly by the CPU, yes even at 4.7 Ghz....when I tried some runs at 4.9 Ghz, Graphic scores jumped by a good margin ;)

Here's a run at 4.9 Ghz....same GPU OC's as previous...

Just depends on the application / game / bench really.. seen before that CPU is used quite heavily in this bench.

^^^^^ Bottomline...I believe we have finally hit the point in GPU technology, that in most cases (particularly running SLI), the faster you can get your CPU running, the happier your GPU's will be ;)

Honestly....we need CPU's running at 5.5 Ghz to 6 Ghz ;)

Depends how optimized for multi threaded cpu usage they need and at that how much they use.. all about the coding and hence the application.

So, I'm looking forward to comparing my score this evenining with Bliz's. I have a single 770 running at similar clocks to Bliz's, the difference is I have a 3770K OC'd to 4.5 vs a 2500 @ 3.3. I'm looking forward to see exactly what difference CPU makes in this particular benchmark.

Yea.. go for it.. Fire-strike is pretty intensive even in the free version.

Not sure a single 770 will be CPU bound enough to show huge difference.. But hey still interesting to see the numbers...

I can't wait to get my new rig and see what it brings my 780 up to... and then what SLI brings. :D
