This is my next board with AMD IIX3 340 with 4GB Ram. Posting because i am wondering why this board has an 8 pin psu connector?
Afaik the 8 pin is only present in high-end ocing boards?
I like the 8 pin but was wondering why this cheap board has one! (I like the 8 pin but i wonder why this crossfire ready mobo doensot have one:
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-H77-DS3H (rev. 1.0)
Got the following on 2nd december 2012.
MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA78LMT USB3
CPU: AMD PHENOM II 560
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE 4GB
8 pin isn't just for overclocking. 8 pin can be used to provide more power to a motherboard to provide better voltage stability and yes helps with the OC ability of the board as well.
Better voltage stability = better OC :thumb:
