Default GX2 OC...I HATE being a noob!...lol

Ok, I've OC'd my cpu and ram, I'd show results but haven't figured out how to insert pics yet..I know I know....no comments from the peanut gallery please.

I have never OC'd a video card before let alone a GX2!.... I've got Riva but find it confusing, yes, now ya know I'm a noob!...but I'm a fast learner...so far!

I've looked through the board (maybe my old age is catchin' up with me and I missed it) but haven't seen anything regarding the GX2, any help would be appreciated:help:

This is a GREAT site!!

all you need is rivatuner and ati tool.

In Rivatuner set your fan speed to a constant speed and one that is tolerable to your ear level while keeping temps good.

2nd you overclock your core by sliding the slider a bit say 10mhz and run ATI Tool.

and keep doing this till you get artifacts then back it off till you don't.

Then do the memory and repeat.

I downloaded ATI tool and Rivatuner (again) but get the same "Unsupported driver detected" saying "not tested with the current display driver and to upgrade to a new version because it is not officially supported"!...I can't find a new(er) version!!...now I'm confused again...as usual...lol

Its because nvidia releases drivers faster than Rivatuner does. Nothing to worry about.

In Riva, I'm not sure how to set the values for Minfan speed limit and fan speed 0, 1, 2

GPU temps jump to 65+ when I do art scan at 610 core
