Default Sandy bridge and Z77

does the 2500K still see the same limits when overclocking with 4 Dimms of ram on the p67/z68 or did it get fixed with the newer z77 platforms...(the memory controller being on the chip, I'm guessing it hasn't but I can still hope? right?)
