My System Specs

Default And everyone kept telling me EVGA boards are garbage

Well I had some issues with my UD7, and they never properly repaired it, so snagged a cheap EVGA X58SLI Micro on HWC, well it run stock up until lastnight, this little guy has some potential! First OC is rock solid folding stable 3900MHz(yes I know weak, but hey I am working it up) at a cool 1.235v, 12GB of RAM filling all the slots. This impresses me, going to try and sneak it back up to my 2+ year OC of 4.2/3@ 1.32v, but that was with a $400 (at purchase date)top end board, not an under$100 MATX used board, might have to let my brand new UD7 go when it gets back from CA and downsize my case if I can up the OC a touch more without much more vcore. Here's some proof before someone makes me angry :)

And those silly Gigabyte techs told me my 2 year OC made my components fail, they seem to work almost better in the EVGA, this is with an hour of overclocking, not 2 years and I am saying this!

EVGA made some very good X58 boards while Shamino was working for them. Since he jumped to ASUS, not so much. Which is why my X58 Classified will be on the BST soon, and the Rampage IV Extreme will take it's place.

Hell, my EVGA 780i board is still strong and kicking with a massive overclock, and core voltage @ 1.50V for 4+ years now. However, Ivy Bridge cannot come soon enough!

I'm using an EVGA z68 FTW motherboard and it's magnitude more stable than all the gigabyte 1155 boards I've used. I can only say good things about EVGA mobos at this point. Bench at my 2600k 1.56v 5.4ghz 78c no problem on it. Run everyday at a solid 5.0ghz on 1.45v.
