Do you have an aftermarket CPU cooker or stock one that came with the CPU?

Please use an aftermarket HSF. Otherwise, forget about it.

Raise Vcore to 1.30V
Enable Internal PLL overvoltage
Disable VDroop
Raise CPU Multi to 40.

Use RealTemp to verify CPU temps.
Use Linx to load the CPU, using max. memory setting, 5 passes for starters.
If successful, raise the Multi to 41.
Raise until unstability in Linx (or BSOD), then raise the Vcore.
Retest. If successful, raise the multi again.

My 2500k is running at 5.0GHz with 1.375v Vcore, using a Thermaright TRUE Cu.

wow these are great overclocks i wish i would have got a 2500k-2600k instead of this 960. 960 consumes so much more power i believe 130w? compared to the 2500k i think is 95w? Those run cooler and less expensive than the 960. Most likely overclocks higher and easier too.

you using i7 960 right. wow that awesome. :thumb:
hey I want to share with you guy's that noctua nh d14 is really cool stuff.
before overclock my temp just 31c, now when I oc it, the temp only go for 42c.
it so awesome. :punk:
