help me get to 4ghz on my C0! I have been trying my best to learn how to overclock the past the bloomfield last few days, and I've only managed to get an overclock of 3.7ghz w/ HT stable. No matter how much voltage I dump, it just wouldn't hit 4ghz. Here are my current settings: bclk 195 multi 19 QPI 3510 RAM 780 9-9-9-24 (running 6x4gb sticks) the voltage settings right now are: voltage 1.25v VTT auto LLC/no vdroop on dram 1.654v PLL auto I have tried all settings from PLL to 1.88v and VTT to 1.28v and vcore at 1.3v and it still wouldn't hold 190x21. |
Probably hit your limit.................... |
 , kinda expected more from the chip. Oh well... |
The DO was usually the better chip. |
i have my i7 920 C0 running stable at 3.8 in a asus p6t board |
have a look at this guide: Guide to Overclocking the Core I7 920 or 930 to 4.0ghz |
i had a C0 that did only 4.4 so i sold it a loooong time ago for 4.0 cpu 1.35-1.44v vtt 1.3-1.42v you got 6 stix:whistle: pll 1.7-1.84v |
My C0 would only do 3.6ghz and even then it was flaky. Got rid of that, got a D0 and good times had by all. |
Can you not hit it with a bit more vcore? The max safe vcore according to intel is 1.4 isn't it? |
i tried 1.4v vcore, it the computer just shuts off and restarts 5 seconds into prime95... My psu is rated at 800w, so I assume that wouldn't be the problem. |
