Good little chip - E4500

So, while I wait for the taxman to send my return and bestow upon me a QX9650, I picked up an E4500 to tide me over and I must say, I'm impressed by the performance of this chip for the price! Cost me $137 plus tax at Infonec and it's doing quite well at 8x400 so far with my new G.Skill RAM at 1066 (that's 8GB!!)

I ran Prime95 last night at 3150 and it was fine for 8 hours.

I'm going to try it now with 8x400 and see how it does. Temps are in the mid-60s so still ok, although it idles high at around 40...

Anyway, not worrying temps. I'm quite pleasantly surprised by this chip so far.

Nice to see you up and running again. I was starting to feel guilty after leaving you chipless all week, and here I am STILL waiting for the rest of my parts so I can put together the E8400.

Man...I hope your gear arrives soon. I just ordered my final LC parts and I should have everything here this week. If I get some sort of half-decent weather to finish my painting, I might be able to build next weekend!
