I found my old opteron @2.9 could only just get 10000K 3dmark 06 in december with my 8800GTX although it played very well...with the current setup its up to 13300 3dmark06 without much effort. Im not sure how much the RAM and MB contributed to this but you could see at a big big gain with the E8400.

Yes, there are beta drivers that support crossfireX, they were released specially for your card for reviews, and are available all over. And yes, there are likely quite a few ways to tweak your system further to get many more points. And you don't have to use rivatuner, there is a bios editing tool available, you can modify your stock speeds.
