GTX 580 - base line

Anyone have a good base line for overclocking a EVGA GTX 580?

Based upon model, manufacturer and chip, they all OC differently with varying Voltage, you have to simply bump up Core/Memory in small increments and test, when you get failure bump up the voltage slightly and continue where you left off ;) Keep an eye on load temps and adjust fan speed (manually) accordingly!

What are some average temps that my GPU should be running at? And frame rates... I have Afterburner and Furmark. But I am just adjusting, I haven't seen any artifacts yet... But Im worried im going to overheat the GPU

I'd say anything under 90C should be fine. Ideally though I'd say 70-80C is the upper limits.

My EVGA GTX580 runs a fairly constant 85-88C, according to Afterburner. No overclock (other than the factory, it's SSC). Lots of airflow to it.

Without an overclock that seems a little high... even from what I have seen. Mine only runs at about 65 with current OC

Ok last time just to double or triple check....

I have been bumping my core and memory clock until I get the window that tells me my display driver lost connection. After that happens I bump up voltage? If so, when do I stop?

Also, on this last little bit of OC I have done, I have begun to see artifacts. But only for a split second then they disapear and im solid... should I back off a little?
