Cores are for the wPrime stage. For PCMark7, the differentiator is socket, so I'm guessing that we'll need S2011, S1155 and S1366 scores. For my part, the best I have available is S1156 since my E5645 had to go back into a production server last weekend. So hopefully somebody can come through with a solid score for S1366.

I don't think it needs to be a dual or single (if we are talking PCMark 7), its determined by socket. Someone with a 1366 is perfectly legitimate, or 775 quad, which I can provide but someone running 980x/990x would might provide a better score.

EDIT: Holy ninja'd me, DT....

I'm Bwooce Wee.

Question for you guys who have posted PCMark 7 scores - have you tried running with HT off? Are scores higher with HT left on?

All my tries were with HT on, I assumed more cores would be better. I can do a comparison later if needed

Would be interesting since Rasparthe noted earlier that PCMark7 only uses four threads at a time during the general PCMark suite.

That must be it! Funny thing I actually read Rasparthe's post & the link to Tom's, and thought hmmm... that's good to know, I'll have to remember that

Will try again later, HT off should make life easier hitting better clocks

edit:
It can use HT during the transcoding test at least, I was seeing well over 50% usage during the test with HT on.

So there is a difference in the transcoding as FtW 420 suggested, side by side comparison:
