Does anybody know how many CPU threads PCMark7 works with?

I think I read somewhere that it only supports up to 4 threads. Remembering thinking how ridiculous that was but again just off the top of my head. Yep, found it doesn't appear there is much reason to go any more than a 2600K/2500K.

Looks like we may be in for an interesting intra-team battle for best 6x score!

Anyway, it looks like I may have found a used i5 680 from [H]. If so, and if it gets shipped up tomorrow, then there is some chance that I may have it in time to contribute a 2x score for the wPrime stage. I'm knocking on wood.

I don't think my Celery 440 can beat Rasparthe's 1x score, so I'll only bother doing it if we need Rasparthe to post a score in one of the other categories. We'll see how it goes...

I tried to get PCM7 to run for hours last night on sub zero but it would fail every time. I think cold bug on IMC was preventing 32GB to run with any stability because 8GB was fine all day.

Best Ill be able to provide is a H20 run with memory caching. If I can match the 6600 run I did with 3960X Ill be happy and if someone can crush that number even better.

Does anyone know if SLI will help in PCM7?

I am going to test out the SLI/CF advantages/disadvantages over the next few days to see if I can figure out if it scales at all. Hopefully before the end of the week. Also I may be able to grab a i3 score on the weekend if I hijack my parents computer but it won't be anything special.

You know guys PCM7 is something that we can really use to our advantage to get some big points. If you set up even 1GB of RAM Caching it is going to kick ass and most people have no clue how to do this or what advantage it brings. It dominates SSD perf if you set it up right.

I am going to set up a 4-5GB RAM cache with 2500k and see what I can do with that as well.

PS - I just saw that the PCM7 WR for x6 CPU is 6200 marks

Is there a guide on how to set the RAM caching up? Or do you want to PM me some instructions? I plan to setup a 775 Q9650 rig for PCmark7, not sure if this is better than a 1366 or 1156 setup but I'll give it a spin and see how it plays out. I see that FTW put up a Sandybridge run already.

Well SLI doesnt help, it dropped my score by a few points. Here is what I used for caching but with 15360MB

Can you set PCMark7 to test a drive other than C like you can with PCMark 2005?

Can you use RAM caching on an SSD drive or array to bolster performance even more?
