no worries. well it varies from chippie to chippie so you wont get to 4.4 for sure lol.

3dmark stresses the system further and simulates gaming under stress(aka a good thing)

I'm quite sure the 560 is more overclockable than the 530, and after 5 hours of prime95 the max temp is 50 at 4.2Ghz, so, I'd say still plenty of room to play with

bump up the 'fsb' to 182 and see what gives.

I'll try tomorrow I won't be able to see how it behaves tonight and I'd rather be at home paying attention to it lol

cool. as long as you watch the juice,meaning stay clear of 1.5+ volts if you run it fanless or very low rpms on the fan, you should be fine.

UPDATE: After 2 hours of Prime95 and 2 runs of 3D Mark 11 the max temp I reached was 55C..
(To me it's impressive, I was used to the i3 530 on stock cooler which was regurarly on 50-51C in full load, at 2.93Ghz, and now I'm getting pretty much the same temps, but on a 4.15Ghz overclock)
Should I keep going with the OC?

first of all set the fan to hat you like not hearing

then work your overclock.

answer being : yes,of folding course!

4.4Ghz now, temps are about 56-57.. I guess I'm nearly reaching the limits

very good. what rpms did you set the fan to again?

since you have a good cooler you can actually chose hehe

On the motherboard I have 3 profiles for the fan, silent standard and turbo.. i'm on standard lol
