Default I5 750 issues with OC

Hi there,

I have had my 2.66ghz running at 3.33ghz forever with no issues. That was on a ga-p55-ud4p with xp. I had two sticks of ram in it, 2gb each. They're ripsaw, dual channel, 1.65V written on the actual sticker on the diimms but I think the bios always shows them at 1.5V

Anyway...I go to Windows 7 64 bit and add two more sticks(they are all identical) So....that's 4 sticks x 2gb. The machine will post but will not enter windows. It just hangs with the small, while flashing underscore near the top of the screen. However, If I set her back to default, 2.66ghz, all is well. Windows 7 boots, 8gb registers...but...no more 3.33ghz cpu?

Any thoughts on how or if I can work this out?

thanks.

Bump up your dimm and imc voltages take the dimm to 1.65 or 1.7 and bump the imc up a notch or two from its default
