My System Specs

Default Overclock AMD 550 x2 w/ stock hsf

Hello all. I've never overclocked but would like some advice on temps. Have had this processor since 2009 and do not want to do any extreme overclock, probably something like 3.1 to 3.4 by turning the multiplier to 17. Below are temps with prime95 running for a while, but I don't know which "CPU" temp to pay attention to, and if this is already too warm for the OC. Thanks!

Those temps are fine. If you really want more performance from it try unlocking to 3 or 4 cores, that will be much better than a 300mhz OC.

Check to see if the smart fan is turned on as well... those temps seems a bit high, my wife has a 550 at 3.7 stock cooling and it stays at 50ish under full load. Try to keep it sub 60C, you will start into some instability past that... if you have the 750SB or better on your board the other suggestions of unlocking is a good idea over a OC if you stay stock. There are some great air coolers to be had on the cheap to get both unlock and OCed.
