Default donimo's "forget e2180's, e6750's are where it's at" thread

So I made an executive decision tonight, I put my foot down, crushed a beer can on my head, puffed out my chest, and stole the e6750 out of my wife's computer while she was out curling ......

She only uses it for facebook, plus I already stole the 1950 pro out of it last month.
I o/c'd the e2180 from my rig to it's happy-as-a-clam 2.75GHz at stock Voltage and I doubt she will ever know.

On to my rig...

temps with core temp 0.96.1, voltages with easytune5 pro (bios)

So I put on a new TRUE with 2 Noctua sp12's on it and thought, what the hell, lets try 400x8 at stock Vcore, I feel good tonight.

First Attempt:

3.2GHz, 400x8, DDR 800, Stock Voltages, 19C/37C - Orthos stable for 12 hours. Next!

Second go:

3.6GHZ. 450x8, stk vltge, posts but no windows

3.4, stable so far see in a bit

i do the same thing. as long as it runs ok, my wife doesn't care if it's running at 2.4 or 3.0GHz. Good move. GL

What? Your wife had a bigger CPU that you? That is totally unacceptable and it is mandatory that you have the biggest one in the house. Case closed.

Now oc that sucker until it screams "No more!"

Hopefully she will never knw right

The e2180 is 12 hours stable at 2.7, 28C/44C with a Katana II in a sonata III. It loads up Vista and I cant honestly tell the diff between the 6750/1950pro combo and the e2180/x800XL combo. I have yet to play a game on it, but thats not what its for so...

Also this is with CPU voltage set at "normal 1.35", which is 1.33 in the BIOS, and 1.30 with Vdroop, so very promising so far, but we'll see
