Unfortunately, "in-game stable" falls far short of "really stable" (Anandtech take note!). If that's all you're looking for, then fine. Quite a few people do that, and get by. You're just not allowed to complain when the computer finally DOES crash at the worst possible moment.

lol well actually it doesnt make two sh!ts difference in Crysis anyway, at 1.8Ghz or 3.5... I can max all the other games out anyways regaurdless of the clock speed so ill try around 2.8 and see if that is stable after a while.

3.5GHz? That's very, very good for an E6300. What's your temps using Coretemp?

Some oc may allow games to be played while still unstable. But it is not recommended to use the computer in such a way. Your computer would be much more efficient if it were stable.

I find that a rig is stable if OCCT is passed with a custom 2 hours test. Keep a close eye on the CPU temps.

Where does it show the CPU temps?

Also yeah i could boot into windows @ 3.5Ghz and 800MHz memory, hell i probably could've went higher....but yeah not stable, however i didnt fool around with the voltages and ram timings and such at all. In my bios i had the Vcore set to 1.4375 though...

Use Coretemp for CPU temps.

Core 0 is 68 C
Core 1 is 66-68 C

Is that bad? I have a fairly well cooled case...or so it seems, my GPU runs around 50 under load. I am using stock HSF btw.

Don't go past 65C on air. Otherwise, you will start to damage your CPU.

But I must say that 3.5GHz on stock cooling with only 1.4V and ~67C is very good. You have one heck of a chip. Take good care of it.

And slap an aftermarket HSF on it, for crying out loud.
