ur unicore is to high for hexicore cpu. For quad core cpu unicore is double the ram speed for hexicore cpu u need to set it at 1.5 times ram speed. Do a search on unicore setting for hexicore processors

up your vcore on cpu and drop your unicore
6 core chips can't have a uncore of double the ram speed
double the ram speed for unicore is for quad core cpu, hexicore require 1.5 times the ram plus a stepup of one hit or two
running mine at 1.5 times the ram speed plus one. Two will work also but don't know how tight that is but i know i crashed at times 2. Also might need 1.26 or 1.28 on the qpi/vtt
Also watch your temps supposedly the default heatsink set to high speed is supposed to be good cooler for 980 chip.
Can't comfirm that because i'm running water

QPI/VTT Voltage.......................1.580V you don't need newhere near that for qpi/vtt set it at 1.26 or 1.28 and keep it within .5 volts of your ram voltage or u'll burn out the memory controller on the cpu. so your ram voltage set at 1.6 and qpi/vtt set at 1.26 or 1.28. then u can up the the cpu speed and cpu voltage. I got mine set at 1.26 on the qpi/vtt 1.58 on 24 gigs of gskill sniper ram cpu multiplier of 23 with 200 on my cpu but thats for a speed of 4700 mhz which u will not be going that far. Do not jack up the qpi/vtt and drop the unicore down to 1.5 times your ram speed you can try one step up above the 1.5 speed and do more reading b4 you begin.

I don't like CPU PLL on autos
Performance enhance on std for now
Ram primary timings on their appropriate numbers for your ram.
Ram Secondary timings on Auto

In any case post over in Tweaktown's Gigabyte forums and ask for help.
Fill in a template their
Some guys over their know the Gigabyte boards well
