Help with 1055t

I have a msi 890fxa-gd70 and 1055t with 4 gigs of G.SKILL F3-12800CL6D-4GBPI Pi ram. First off if I set the ram to the rated speed of 6-8-6-24 it won;t even boot If I set it to 7-8-7-24 it boots fine. So far I have overclocked it to 3.8ghz with around 1.46 volts. It passes prime95 small and large test for at least 8 hours before I stop it. However if I run the blended test at it it fails anywhere from 1 to 30 min. I have tried many different things with no change in the blended test some times it fails with 1 core sometimes 2 cores and it is not always the same one. The temps under load don't go above 54 according to core temp. I set the voltage of the ram to 1.65v and have tried clocking it to 1066 to 1600 with no change. does anyone have any advice?

thats not really an overclocking processor... did you try 8-8-8-24 @ 1.6V ? and did your turn up the north bridge voltage a bit? your gonna have to if ur OC'ing your memory

I did try those timings and increasing the voltage of the ram to 1.7. The Ram is rated at 1600 6-8-6-24 at 1.6v. so asking it to run at 7-8-7-24 or even 8-8-8-24 should not be asking too much.

Did you bump up the CPU-NB link voltage?

Yes I think I set it to 1.22. But I am not sure as I am at work. I left memtest86 running at lunch and will check it when I get home.

No errors in memtest. Left it running for like 5 hours. It even fails the prime95 blend test at 3500mhz but it can run 3dmark vantage for hours with no clitchs or anything.

I have the exact same board and cpu (I've since sold the cpu and am going to get an unlocked 1090T). For the life of me I couldn't get the chip past 3.7 Ghz... (tried everything) even at 3.7 Ghz it wasn't completely Prime 95 stable. I'm pretty sure it was the motherboard hitting a fsb wall at 267. Even if I lowered the multiplier the board still wouldn't get past 267 with any stability... Maybe I just got a shitty board ...as the reviews I read prior to purchasing the board showed people reaching 300 no problem...

In the DRAM menu, set Trfc to 110ns across all four channels, it should fix your FSB wall.

I have had it at 4ghz and was prime95 small and large fte stable but would fail at blend when it would use a lot of ram. So far today I have it at 3.6 and prime95 blend stable for 30 min and counting. plus before this run it did 100min of occt.
