Default Problems with my 4870s?

I have an HIS 4870 1gb and a XFX 4870 1gb, lately, at least in sc2, i have been getting artifacting, i was using 10.6 drivers, now i am on 10.7 (havent tested it yet), my cards are at stock settings.

My case is a haf 932 as my case, which has plenty fans, my cpu, overclocked at 4.2 has idle temps of 32 degrees, but my cards idle at 46 or so, and im sure that's fine, but if it isnt overclocking, and it isnt heat, whats with my cards doing this?

it also started happening with dragon age origins a few weeks ago, but ignored it since that's the only game it happened in, and i stopped playing it since i beat it, but i am worried that i am now seeing it with Sc2.

hopefully it was a driver issue and it wont happen again, but if it isn't, i really can't afford another gfx card atm.

also do swap slots, just in case. if each alone works fine,...in both slots? drivers/software or maybe psu? but that would be the least i think
you got room for two more.

try out the 10.7's before anything. they helped overall with my sc2 performance on my 4890.

else pop one out as dan says and stress it up.

Vantage scores.

both cards (xfx top, HIS bottom) 14011
xfx top slot 9576
HIS bottom slot 9583

i tried putting the HIS on the top slot, but it wasn't recognized? the resolution was 800x600 and i couldnt put it to 1680x1050, could be a driver issue?

going to try put the XFX on the bottom now, could it just be an issue with sc2?

Futuremark vs FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

but if it passes vantage without any issue, i guess theyre ok hardware wise.
