N2O would be nitrous oxiode. No it was just a very poor single stage phase change. 1.28V for 4.2GHz is pretty respectable.

Which CPU? I've never seen any CPU (even 32nm that runs w/ as little voltage as mine). Although it runs extremely hot.

no he does not he's cheating he's using phase of course your gonna get a way better oc I want daily use stable that does not need a fridge. ( but as phase goes that's great ) adn at 1.5 if your not keeping your temps in order your in trouble but intels white papers state that 1.55 is the absolute max if and this is a big if, if given the proper cooling like pahse i really would not go over 1.45 vcore 1.45 qpi even on water just not great for the life of the chip and i am very happy with my 4.4@1.35. I mean 4.4 and still in the vid range just wicked.

@ lowfat did you every really try to push the 6950 just wondering cause right when you bought that setup i was thinking about doing the same and heard these chips go nuts under good cooling.

way offtopic is an ocz cryo any good? heard very mixed reviews ( don't want to drop a G note on a phase setup) ya i know before you all say it.

edit look at how spoiled we all are every 920 owner can get ruffly 1ghz oc this is nuts remember back in the day using jumpers to set the strap to the next level and pushing voltage through the roof just to get 500mhz I love these chips as of late all of them intel amd there all just great fun

mine runs crazy hot
but i'm good for 4.5 ht 1.34v
i pushed 1.52 just to make sure didnt wanna fail lol
got 1 commin thats even better its top secret lol
my new water coolin setup i max out @ 40c 4.5 with ht on prime with the help of an a/c

My G6950 will do 4.2GHz w/ 1.2375V. This is w/ a Megahalem & a Sanyo Denki 120x38mm fan @ 1000rpm.

Cryo-Z will be good for a dual core. But it was never meant to be used w/ modern quad cores.
