X1950 Pro does not have the horsepower to push 1920X1200 with much over medium settings in most games.

yeah, I don't know why, but I just thought it would be enough, mostly due to it running on my x800xl, p4 520 system at 1280x1024 and full settings perfectly.

silly me

Just turn down some of the settings. Right now, I am waiting for the piece that did not come with my HR03 allowing me to mount the cooler to my HD2900 so I am forced to run a 7600GS. I can play games @ 1920X1200, but at low-medium low settings with no AA/AF. Your card has some power, just not enough to use AA/AF.

so is hi-res/low-settings better looking than lower-res/high-settings?

I will expirament, but I have to wait till tonight, maybe tommorow, so if your bored and know, otherwise no worries.

I knda thought it was something like that, cause the 1950pro can run brand new games pretty well still at high res in a lot of reviews so...

I doubt it'll run any of the "brand new" games at high res & settings, but it seems to do ok at Native LCD res with AA turned off.

Can't expect it to run something like Crysis maxed out when the game beats the crap out of the latest cards. :)

I haven't used the CIA/RGB auto overclocking features on my Gigabyte motherboard, but I did play with the auto-voltage setting while overclocking my processor manually when I was reviewing the board (p35-ds3r). I found that the auto setting over-shot the voltage, giving the processor more juice than it needed. Not a bid deal in most cases...except that I was nearing 1.5v (max rated for my CPU) on auto, but could still run fine at lower voltages.

As I understand it, auto-overclock BIOS features make it easy to get 20%+ out of your system quickly if you don't have the time or ability to overclock on your own. But it sure feels good to say you did it yourself! Good luck
