Question Will the XFX HD 5870 Reference Design OverVolt?

Will the reference design XFX HD 5870 overvolt? I want to know before I buy so I can O/C it and not have to pay for the XT/XXX version. The link is :NCIX.com - Buy XFX Radeon HD 5870 850MHZ 1GB GDDR5 4.8GHZ 2XDVI HDMI Display Port DIRECTX11 PCI-E Video Card - HD-587A-ZNF9 In Canada. . Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, the card you pointed out (ZNF9) overvolts by software, and is using Volterra voltage controllers.

BUT!!!!!!!! It's the one that is not in stock! I bought mine from NCIX a month ago and they had only 10 cards that sold within 24 hours and they never got more in. There is a waiting list at NCIX for people that want that card (reference design, volterra VRMs) They sell another one with the fan centered in the middle of the card (non-reference design) that doesn't overvolt (no Volterra there).

Thank you VERY VERY much. It doesn't matter. The stock they have doesn't matter as I will be waiting until the beginning of June to purchase my new rig anyways. Also, I will look at other retailers. Thanks again man!
