ASUS allows for 1200/1400 on this card. I've had the memory alone up to 1400.

Load the card up with the Asus BIOS if it's a reference design card.

I have a Diamond @ 900/1200 (slightly higher volts though) but my last '06 hit close to 22k.. I was kind of surprised (but pleased nonetheless!)

15% on CPU is kinda high, I think you just need to disable your external codecs on MPC-HC. I definitely believe those ati 5xxx will do a fine job

My results with a nvidia card Even a 4350 have better results than nvidia's VP2

It would seem after years of NOT being able to get hardware video acceleration to work in any way, shape or form, it's WORKING! 1080P MKV, 1 to 2% CPU load, 2% GPU load. A screen cap @ 3360x1200 would be a tad excessive.
