Default variable resistor

hey i'm looking for a 100-500ohm variable resistor. any ideas where i could find one? found a couple on the internet, but i'd prefer to pick one up locally or from a reputable online dealer. loc: burnaby, bc

background:
i just bought a xeon x3210 and gigabyte 650i sli board. i was too cheap (damn school...) to buy a 680i board, so i'm stuck without the GTLRef option in the bios. which means my board dont oc worth crap. i can barely get it stable at 2.4ghz so i wanna solder the resistor to my mobo to allow me to manually adjust the voltage.

cheers

i would've; but i needed an sli for my (aging) 7800gt's. i cant afford a new card right now. also the cheap gigabyte p35 doesnt have allow you to adjust the GTLRef voltage either; it may do it automatically, but its not in the bios.

ty eldonko; i'll check them out

lucky bugger...usually London has one of everything but electronics supplies are non-existent.

London in general doesn't seem to be extreme overclocking friendly. the Home Depot here doesn't have Frost King insulation, no one locally seems to have any kind of 1/4"-1/2" neoprene, and Air-Liquide won't deliver dewars to a non business address (getting a GST number just to make that hopefully happen). but i do have a pretty damn good local computer shop that can get me any hardware i want within a day for very reasonable prices so i can't complain too much i guess.

At least your computer store doesn't try to sell you parts with a 20% markup over NCIX and tddirect.ca! ;) I only order from B.C. now...

How does U.S. cross-border shipping work? I thought most (all?) of the e-tailers there didn't ship to Canada ie. newegg

Monarch and Tankguys ship to canada, that's about it. I was talking about electronic components retailers for trimpots if that question was directed towards me.
