Default Max VTT/IMC/QPI Voltage for P55?

So is it 1.3-1.35 or is it 1.21v according to Intel?

Trying to get an i7-860 to be stable at 4GHz 24/7 but I'm getting temperatures at almost 80-85C with a Venomous X in push-pull (two NF-P12's) and was told raising VTT/IMC/QPI voltage (I assume they all refer to the same voltage setting because Gigabyte and ASUS label them differently in the BIOS) would give me stability

Is 80-85C safe for an i7? I see people saying they have awesome i7 overclocks at like 60C, I've always been in the 70C range at 3.8GHz with around 1.34v according to CPU-Z.

Would I get better results (maybe being able to get a lower vcore) using 22x multi and 180 BCLK instead of 200 x 20 or 190 x 21

How are the Scythe S-Flex? I'm reluctant to part with the P12's simply because I'm afraid anything else would be unbearably loud.

As well for some reason, my Core0 is at a higher temperature no matter what heatsink I use and no matter how the heatsink is seated, all my other cores are at 75C and I have Core0 almost 5-8C higher.

Those R4 would be nice, but I only see LED ones and do they perform well in situations that require static pressure?

I'm seriously considering the S-Flex or the GentleTyphoons, I just want to stay under 70 at 4GHz if possible.

You could try the S-flex SFF21-E model (1600 rpm). the F model (1900 rpm) is NOT quiet, but moves a lot of air. I'm told I should try the Gentle Typhoon models.

Those have even less CFM compared to my P12's though.

Seems pretty high, what vcore are you using for 4ghz?

I'm at almost 1.36v. Testing out 1.3375 Vcore and lower IMC voltage (1.15) in the BIOS right now with 180 x 22, noticed that lower IMC voltage gives me lower temperatures more so than a lower vcore

I would try and keep it to 70C for 24/7 if possible.

Hmmm, is the heatsink making good contact with the CPU? Legit Reviews has a review on the CPU cooler and it seems to be pretty good. Temps are definitely not as high as yours?

What's your Core i7 currently clocked at?

Since the IMC is integrated into the CPU now, I suspect that's one reason why your temperatures are so high.
