Yeah i got like 9C cooler with the XP-90C but that's with the case open .. with my case closed i'm up at like 58C full load in crossfire (XP-90C at 4ghz). but my air flow in this case is terrible .. Antec Sonata II there's just like a 120mm fan at the back sucking the air out of the case and a kind of annoying air chamber providing "fresh air" directly to the cpu. I could still fit that "exhaust" removing a piece of it.

Anyways .. what's the max safe temp / max safe vcore for that cpu ?

Thanks
If you have a tube of A S 5.. put it to good use.. still is pretty good, if you're going to buy one, get a tube of arctic cooling mx-2, works better and is cheaper..

Nice clocks mate

quick update on my part...

Re-applied MX-2 on the CPU... fixed the HSF (Xigmatek s1283).

So far... it's pretty good. at 3.75ghz, it idles 3 degrees colder... (32-33) and on load with Prime 95, I reached a max of 48 degrees.

I think I initially had problems fixing the HSF to the motherboard. I think the HSF was not properly installed. I know I had to apply way more pressure than I did the first time... and now it feels sturdier on the mobo than before.

an other quick update :

reached 4.05ghz @ 1.39v.

Max temp after running Orthos for 11 hours : 55 degrees.

but... I need to see if I can lower some of my voltage... I am pretty sure I can lower my NB, SB, PLL and RAM voltage.
