Calling for the help of extreme overclockers

Hey calling all Vancouver area clockers! I need some info on extreme cooling fun ln2 and dice.

1) How easy is it to get? I ask this as it's far from easy here in the UK
2) How much?
3) I would be nice to hook up with like minded benchers does anything happen reguarly or is there anyone who benches alot

Just finding out some info as if i end up moving early next year be nice to know as much as possible before i get there

1) Praxair is probably the best bet to find some LN2.
2) Praxair has some decent prices from what 3oh6 has said. That's just what I heard, and I have no physical proof to tell you otherwise.
3) If you lived near London, ON you'd have the chance to come see some actual benching when the timing is right :).

not sure there is anyone here running sub-zero on the left coast. since i am not out there, information on what i can get is pretty useless to be honest.

start with the regulars, Air Gas, Praxair, Air Liquide. the key is to shop around. Air Liquide sells LN2 for $6/L where i get from Praxair for just over $1/L. it really comes down to how much they move. i know in Saskatoon when i was calling around, Praxair was not the best source. same with dry ice, Praxair charges an arm and a leg while Air Liquide basically gives it away because they move so much dry ice. i go in with a ten spot and can walk out without whatever size cooler my arms can carry.

spend the time phoning machine shops, universities (might get lucky and buy from them on their highly discounted rate), industrial cleaning, anything that might have LN2 on hand. it pays off in the long run to find a cheap source. best of luck.

i am hoping to get a LN2 hookup on campus this year and possibly do some benching there. what program are you in? friends with Engineering dept. types?
