Just a little curiosity about HWBot:

Is it something everybody can contribute to? Like could myself as some with a 2600k get the HWC team some points or do we need a golden chip that breaks records to accomplish something?

Everyone can contribute, there are different leagues for different users. The Enthusiast league is for those that do not want to use sub zero cooling, the OC league is for those that do, and the Pro league is for those that work in the industry or are sponsored.

And the great thing about HWBot is you don't have to have the best in order to score points as you can always score points with some older or more obscure gear. :)

As soon as I can find a decent s775 board, I hope to drop some more points in. :P

It's fun to see how hard you can push your system compared to others with similar hardware.

Thanks, i know i am new here, but i am not new to hardware or overclocking. I have been meaning to spend more time here since i met Mac last year at the Gigabyte G1.Killer launch party.
So now i am here to stay!

Welcome aboard kirbster! Excited to have you - especially since we're all pretty green here on the HWC team. I mean, there's lots of real skilled benchers on the forums - guys like Eldonko, FtW, Rasparthe, Crantana, etc - but they bench for different teams.

I'd like this as well. To this end, I intend to submit scores for all four stages of the February OC Challenge. I'm hoping that if we can start getting Team HWC into some more challenges going forward we can begin to build some momentum. I'd like very much to see HWC punch above its weight on the bot just like it does in fah.

Unfortunately i dont have any hardware meeting February's requirement, but i am dusting off my trusty X6 for the Gigabyte spring challenge.

At some point it would be cool to even get some team members together for these challenges. Try to scrape together some of the older gear or just cherry pick and put all your best gear together.

I too will be breaking out the X6... I see your Schwartz is as big as mine. Now let's see how well you handle it!

I guess we will see. My best x 6 is a 1055t. And once a few more LN2 guys get involved I will be lucky to stay in the points!
