 Beginner OCer, feedback appreciated!
Hello, So my 212+ just arrived so I finally am able to safely OC my 955!  Wanted to find the limit, seems which ever combination I used of CPU ratio or FSB I could not boot into Windows 7 with the magic 4.0 GHZ, the best I've managed that booted into Windows was 3.95 GHZ. I got to say this thing isn't very friendly for a beginner ...  So right now I'm standing at 3.72 GHZ - FSB 205 - CPU ratio x18.5 - CPU voltage 1.46 - NB voltage 1.3 RAM is set on auto. This OC crashes Prime95 smallFFT after an hour ... Any ideas to get it more stable? My noobness makes it that I'm stuck here, do I have to lower my OC to make it stable or is playing a little more with the settings gonna help? That's how far my little experience and Google got me, now I need your help! Thx a bunch!   |
