Default AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Overclocking

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice or help with overclocking this cpu. I recently overclocked my gpu and now want to do the next in line. Heres my specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Mushkin EM2-6400 DDR2 (2x512)
eVGA e-Geforce 7900 GS KO

Ive done some reading and seen that this particular proc runs very stable up to 2650 Mhz but after that it starts using alot more voltage and the temp increases quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi savey421

May i suggest you to read some overclocking guides before going into Ocing ?

Overclocking isn't that simple. I mean if you have no clues what the heck your doing... Then you'll end up screwing everything... Basically, you must learn the basic words, feature of mobos etc... Once you know them, it'll be easy.

I could always give you straight steps to achieve 2.6Ghz but you woudn't learn.
